Hello all. I originally found this sight several years back because of a post by Montana Jim about Hofschneider fishing lures that I had recently started collecting. I have been interested in treasure hunting and looking for other cool stuff since I was a youngster. Fast forward a couple years we purchased a new home that was built in 1900. We found some very old tiles and some other odds and ends while putting in a small garden. While exploring our new house I found a little acces panel and opened it looked inside and found a S. Reals liquor jug from late 1800s to very early 1900s. With a little research I found out that there was an even older house at one point in our back yard. I decided to buy a few old white detectors (5000d) to poke around the property with. Since I'm not searching for any particular lost treasure on the property I figured I could get a couple used machines that would do what I want for less than the price of a cheap new one. Which led me back here again now. It's a great site with really amazing finds and information. Thanks for having me.
