Hi guys and girls. I live in Dullstroom, South Africa and I'm a knife maker, owner of The Dullstroom knife shop and agent for Minelab SA. I mostly hunt for Anglo-Boer war relics but all other treasures are most welcome
My weapons of choice are Minelab X-TERRA 705, GPX 5000, Eureka Gold and F1A4 MIM.

Detectorists planning to visit the area are most welcome to give me a shout and maybe we could organize a serious relic hunting expedition. If you ask nicely I might even borrow you a .

Thanx for the welcome mamabear. I live on a farm close to the little town of Dullstroom and mostly hunt on the countryside. There are quite a few Anglo Boer war battle sites around and these keeps me busy most of the time. Also. A lot of ruins from ancient civilizations in the area. I hate city hunting because there is so much scrap lying around.

Looked at your store and knife pics online. Your damascus blades are beautiful and your store is gorgeous. Wish you weren't so far away. Do you have a catalog? I haven't been on facebook to check because I just don't use it much. Well done though, welcome and good hunting...

Thanks Austin, most of the knives I make are one of a kind pieces so sorry, no catalog. I mostly stock factory made knives of various brands and a few hand crafted knives by myself and a few other makers. I also make knives on order and do custom handles on most brands as well as custom regrinds.

Welcome Oliver! I was born and grew up in Africa quite a while back. Missed out on the treasure hunting, but after the 1970s a lot of restriction were imposed on artifact exportation.
Do you find any of the metal spearheads around those Boer battle sites? Happy Hunting! and watch out for those Black Mamba's.
