leon parks are ok--state parks & federal land are off limits to MD-- most beaches or ok even in state parks (on the sand)--set up a test garden with coins, metal etc and PULL TABS to learn your machine.
hope the rain continues to keep the soil soft. will need insect spray this Spring--I live in Tallahassee and have had no problems but watch where I go.

Hello from Tennessee. I have been a newbie for 10 years. Today, I just found out I have been doing it all wrong! I have found a total of 6 long nails, one nickel, and three pennies, oh, and a lead weight that goes on a fishing rod. I have been using my MD about 3 inches off the ground ( I didn't want to get it dirty!). I ordered a coil cover so I can start MDing the right way! I wish you loads of luck!
