New guy from Easley SC. Bought my detector in August of 2019 to attempt to save some local history from a very rapidly developing area. Been hooked ever since I started finding more than just trash and aluminum screw caps! I will try not to be too much of a nuisance with requests for identifying unknown items. Looks like a good forum and community.

Welcome from the outskirts of Kansas City! Seems kind of quiet right now.

Just think of the civil war relics, coins and bullets calling your name!

Get some popcorn, or coffee or what ever. It will pick up a bit.

Welcome Aboard! Take a look at Forum:South Carolina for information (i.e., clubs, etc.) directly related to your state.

Welcome from Texas

And on the other hand......... there are five fingers also. When you find places you would like to detect, do not delay. Permissions can be hard to come by, but some days they just fall into your lap. Then when you have secured a few, those friend talk to other friends and the plot thickens. Offer your finding services when it seems the right thing to do. It is often met with huge thanks, but once in a while, not so much.

Do not be easily discouraged in getting permissions. But do not be too quick to share with others your good fortune. Some will roll right on over you so satisfy their quest for goodies, while getting your permission revoked. These are true things, just find your own way, but when others offer to share a permission, guard it like it is valuable. Very valuable..

Good luck, happy hunting, now go do some more research and find what is closer than you think!

Welcome from Northern Virginia, you are n the right place!!

Welcome To Tnet.

I saw you were from Easley ... which I have been to many times.

Your area is rich in little known history hidden in its cracks and crevices.

Check out Cowpens / Spartanburg and east of it... do some homework... you may be pleasantly surprised.

Good luck.

Welcome from the midlands of SC!
