I'm excited about getting into metal detecting finally. I've been thinking about doing this for quite awhile now. I'm going to purchase a Garrett AT Pro in the near future and I cant wait to try it out. Any suggestions for me would be greatly appreciated!!! I'm in an area that is full of Civil War history, so maybe with the right tools and knowledge I will be able to increase my chances of finding some Relics. Will be looking for coins and Jewelry as well.

research is key as well as knowing your detector when you get it read everything you can on it and go out and use it as much as you can to get to know it and you will find great stuff with good research
