Garrett ATP
Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
Starting this year I'll (we will that is) split our time between New Hampshire and Lakeland, Fla. I've always enjoyed metal detecting and look to join a club or two in Florida. Would be great to join anyone, or group to do a "extended" hunt elsewhere in, or out of state.
Looking to get a new detector, maybe a Garrett AT Pro. Will ask the forum for your opinions. Last "New" detector purchased was a Viper Trident from Kellyco a couple years back for beach/water hunting. Not good, scale of 1 to 10, 10 best, I'd give it a 3. My old standby, a 20+ year old Garrett Freedom 3 still pulls it's weight thought quite worn. Hope to meet some members sometime.

You might consider browsing Sub-Forums: New Hampshire and Sub-Forums: Florida for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your states.
Whatever MD you finally decide on - please consider buying one from one of

Welcome from Louisiana....

Welcome Bill! The AT Pro is a very versatile detector for coins, relics and jewelry.. If you are going to do a lot of beach hunting, the Minelab Excalibur is a great choice in a higher price range. A lot depends on whether you plan to land hunt, water hunt, or do a combination of both.

Give me a call if I can answer any detecting questions for you.
