Hello All! I'm Kent Craig, formerly of North Carolina until 2008 when I moved to Oklahoma, have been metal detecting and prospecting since I was a teen-ager which is going on 40 years now. Back in the late 70's through early 80's I was also Associate Editor of "In The Steps (Of The Treasure Hunter)" published by Gene Ballinger/El Oro Publishing Co. if anyone here goes back that far. I'm still learning and exploring the history of Oklahoma which goes all the way back to the early days of Spanish exploration as well as learning the geology of this great state as well which unfortunately doesn't seem to be a whole lot of, not as far as precious metals and minerals are concerned. Anyway, this is a great website/community and I'm glad to have found it!

Welcome to Oklahoma (& tnet) from a native Oklahoman who has now been a Coloradan, Coloradoan, Coloradite, Coloradude, whatever they call themselves up here, for about 8 years now. Still come out of the mountains about once a year and visit Oklahoma. Lots of interesting geology in Oklahoma, but it's more oil and gas related. Zinc and lead too. Tons of treasure tales in Oklahoma. Read everything you can find about the Wichitas. Great place.

Sounds like you need to get on that Alaskan Goldrush show and show them how to do it right.

Hello from Indiana.
