Hello everybody! My name is Ethan, and I am a kid who loves searching for some of history's greatest souvenirs. I currently have been detecting for only six days now. (Excluding a few swings in my front yard, which seems to have been a major Pepsi can dump site), arrowhead hunting for about a year, and bottle accumulating for about two years. I also do flintknapping. (the honest type)

I got into the civil war when I was about the age of 12. I watched the movie Gettysburg, and have been hooked since that movie. As a young kid, I also played with some of my dad's three ringers, and some rusty square nails, much to the delight of my mom, and her vacuum cleaner. I have always wanted to tag along with my dad and try it, so last year he took me to Diggin' In Virginia XL, and I did really good there...

I decided that my forum name should be RustyRelics because of my uncanny ability to find iron. I can't help, but to dig every single signal, sometimes to my detriment, and find iron in the process.

A couple of you may know me from a few of the other forums I am on. I am Kentucky Point on Arrowheads.com, Screwtop on Antique Bottles forum, and Moundbuilder on Paleoplanet. I joined all of these so I could learn. I love learning about old things. My generation calls old things "VCR's" and "Cassettes", but I know better than that.

So with that, hello again!

Welcome to Tnet from Mississippi.

Welcome Aboard Ethan! Take a look at Forum:Kentucky for information (i.e., clubs, etc.) directly related to your state.

Rusty, A Big Welcome to You to the Tnet forum from Georgia. It's great to hear of young folks interested in our American History. I'm a 63 year old relic hunter from Georgia and I too, swing the MXT Pro and I recently purchased a Minelab Safari. The MXT is a great MD for relics. The best of luck to you, Welcome aboard, and we look forward to seeing some future finds of some cool CW relics. And by the way, you're Dad did good.:usflag::jim::icon_thumleft:
