Well, I've been lurking for weeks, researching metal detectors, and finally bit the bullet this weekend and got an AT Pro. It seems like an outstanding beginner's detector, and a really good intermediate detector, at least for me. It will teach me a lot and give me plenty of room to grow. I'm so excited.
I was not able to go out with it today, but have hopes for tomorrow. I have never done any metal detecting, so I appreciate all that I learn from this forum. I'm still trying to figure out all the functions of the AT Pro, but at least I have it put together and can turn it on now. lol
I am a 59 years young woman, with an avid interest in history. My imagination goes wild watching YouTube videos, seeing folks recover old pieces of metal, and wondering if that metal could talk, what stories would it tell? I guess I'm into MD mostly for imagination and history. I have 2 replaced knees and I think I will specialize in how to dig without killing your knees. lol
I have many, many questions, but so far have found lots of answers in forums and on YouTube. I sure appreciate all of you who share your knowledge and experience so freely.
