Hello from New England

Just wanted to say a quick hello from here in New England. I have been doing a lot of reading here so figured it was time to come out of hiding. I do a lot of shallow water diving/detecting as well as some hunting on land. Always on the lookout for some type of treasure to uncover , haven't found the one I am going to retire on so I'll just have to keep searching. Great site with lots of helpful information , thanks everyone for letting me be a part of it.

You didn't mention your state (New England consists of Maine, Connecticut Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont) - so, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting your state for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state.

Hey how are you doing Digging A hole? I am a new member as well, and just started using this website! I am from Newport RI.. And also I am about 4 hours into using a MD! So I am very in experienced. I notice it says you have a minelab and ace 350. But in (don't buy one) I just bought a ace 250. Are they no good?

P.s. Ill be on the search for Charles Harris treasure chest..

Hey Digger2 I know that area very well it's actually not too far from where I live. I guess I have to agree ; for the most part it is a nice area and the majority of the people here are good folks ; of course there are always a few that are less desirable but you get that no matter where you live. Glad I like it here since it looks like I am stuck here for a while.

Captain , You should enjoy your ace , I love my 350 ; great machine for the price.
I was refering to the MP3 when I said don't buy one. Mine was given to me by someone I did some work for and he never used it so he gave it to me. I knew nothing about it when I got it and after a couple times in the field it went on the shelf and has not left there since then. Just my expierence with it maybe but I certainly would not reccomend it to anyone. Save your money and buy a name brand unit instead.
