Just joined the forum. Getting back into detecting after a 20 years hiatus. It has never been far from my mind, though. I am going to start out concentrating mainly on beach and water hunting, as I never really did a lot in the past. I live very close to Lake Erie and would like to hear and see more about this type of hunting. I see tons of stuff about hunting the surf! I would like to hear from other hunters that hunt in the Great Lakes (Lake Erie especially)....what type of equipment they use, how they keep warm and dry in the cold water, etc. I enjoy talking 'shop'. I know the goods are there, just need to find them. Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and hope to be posting some decent finds soon. Of course that will be after the lake thaws as it is still very much frozen!
