Hello all. I am sort of a newb to the detecting world. I did many years ago use my dads garrett 1000 to detect some and found lots of coins and a few relics but got out of hunting as wife #1 and kids came along. Now Im starting to get the interest back. Fixing to order my first detector and after reading all the forums I can and looking at the many different machines I will more than likely be getting the mxt pro and im also getting a sweet deal on a 1266x a friend of mine has. I have a 16 yr old wanting to start also so I figure we will do good with these two. Also have a four year old that after watching diggers the other night wants his own detector so i figure ill be ordering him and my two and a half year old daughter some bounty hunters. We will be one big digging family..lol.
I for one can't wait to get started and have several friends that have been hunting for years that are willing to spend the time with us to help us learn our new machines. And I am glad I found this forum to share our experiences and finds on and also for the help I know ill be getting from all of you.
