Hello, my name is Cory, I've been kinda browsing this forum for a while but figured I'd sign up. I love metal detecting, I'm using a vanquish 440. I like finding jewelry but I love finding coins more.
I've been detecting for 4 months now, my best finds have been an 1866 3 cent nickel,1914 barber dime,1924 mercury dime, I've found 5 silver Roosevelt dimes, 1908 v nickel, 1901 Indian head penny, 1902 Indian head penny,1906 Indian head penny my oldest wheat penny has been a 1927.
I know it's not worth that much but their my favorite finds, I've also found a few silver rings and my most expensive was a gold bracelet. It's definitely an addictive hobby. I first got a vanquish 340 and after a couple weeks I brought myself the vanquish 440. I feel that's a great machine and I'm glad to be finding so much cool stuff.
My bucket list coins would be any gold coin ($2.5,$5,$10,$20) that's my grail, but also a seated quarter, standing liberty quarter, silver Washington, large cent are also on my list. By the end of the year I'd love to check one of the silver quarters off the list and the large cent.

Anyways thanks for having me.

Welcome to TreasureNet Cory! Thanks for the pics.
Good luck!
Thank you, I've definitely found some neat items. I found myself a .380 cal pistol a few weeks back in a old baseball field. It was buried around 12" deep. Maybe more, to bad it was a cheap pot metal gun. Maybe once I figure out how to post more than a picture at a time I'll be able to get some of my better pics posted.

Welcome!
