Hi my name is Kate and I just joined this forum! Stopping in to introduce myself. I just got my first metal detector, can't wait to test it out! Although winter may not be the best time..

Sure it is Winter! It's the best time!! No hot days, no Bugs, and no people stopping you asking stupid questions.. Cause it's too cold out for them!! Now us who has been bitten by the detecting bug has to detect, or we will go insane, sitting inside all winter..No really I'm not insane, just a feeble attempt at humor Welcome to the forum and Tnet.. Welcome Kate! I m a transplant from Springfield,Ma. During the winter the wife and I would go to Hampden Beach N.H and Misquamicutt in Cn. We go where the snack stands and beach rental were during the summer. We find alot of change and some trinkets. MY first find when I started was a full six pack of Keystrone Beer. LOL You enjoy this adventure and Keep Digging ! Doc
