Welcome The Madcaps, I don't know of any places close to you to hunt, other than parks. If you check club listings on this site, there may be some close to you.

Do a little research of your area. I'm sure you can come up with a good place, or two. Keep your eyes open for old places, and see about getting permission to hunt these places. Never know what you might come up with. Welcome from Old River-Winfree Texas. Good luck....

try and find which rail line is oldest out of houston, then find the oldest towns north of it(day trip
) . i would also go in to houston in the really nice bay communitys find close parks to those communitys (half day trip)
