Hello From Kentucky

Hello all,
been lurking around this site for a couple months now and it is great. I have always loved looking for things, treasure or not, and didn't know there were so many others as well. As it turns out my girlfriends brother has a Garrett Ace 250, he said he will let it go for 40 bucks. Sounds cheap but i think its because its just been sitting in the storage shed for a while now so I am not sure about the condition. Well anybody from KY with any advice please don't be shy .

Yeah i hope to be buying it within a week, I've been bugging my girlfriend to go pick it up(about an hour drive), but as soon as i do it is on! Do you use a garrett?

I own a 250, among others. It is an excellent starter or back up. Some don't like the "bong" noise. A set of volume-controlled headphones will help. This is one of the only hobbies that can truly pay for itself..... but not if it sits in the closet! C'mon out and find your share! And welcome to the Net! TTC
