Hello Everybody, my name is Jennifer and I'm from New Albany, Indiana, located in the middle of the Ohio Valley....I've been hunting for artifacts for approximately 20 yrs and it's my sanity pill....I'm originally from Meade County, Kentucky and moved to New Albany approximately 6 yrs ago....Most hunting I have ever done involved flint, but now I'm being introduced to the whole new world of slate, because there is very little, if any flint in the New Albany...I have yet to find the first piece of flint here...I have found some pieces that are quit fascinating rather they be anything or not and would love to share a piece of my sanity with you...

Hello New Albany, don't worry about no flint in New Albany, you are in a state that is littered with ancient indian artifacts and some of the most beautiful peices i have ever seen. My brother has a huge collection of indian artifacts and most of them came from Indiana and he has never had to dig for them. I could give you some leads on where to look for them if you need any help.

Thank you Foiled and I'm just waiting for the creeks and river to go down and take another look at where I'm going now...Even if what I'm finding are geos, they are really unusual and I like unusual. I do appreciate the offer of giving me some ideas on where to go here and I will more then likely take you up on it...Welcome to TN
