Just started back after a 20 year hiatus. Tried my old Whites and all it would do is turn on. After a couple weeks of looking at videos and reviews and researching, reading this site and others decided to get the AT Pro with the 11 & 8" coils. Just got them last Friday, been practicing in back yard just to get use to the sounds of different targets. Didn't know I had dropped that many pennies! I think I found 18 plus 2 dimes, none old, oldest dime was 1970, and the usual fare of pull tabs. The 6 acres I live on was a farm 100 years ago, but since has grown to nothing but woods. I have 60 acres in the country that never has been hunted and my 2 brothers and I have the family farm that has been in the family since 1900, so I am look forward to getting started on those 2 places and here and learning from this site and others. Right now just trying to decided what to dig and learning the different sounds and ID numbers.

Glad to be here.

Welcome fellow Georgian .
Sounds like you live off I-16 .
I,m no expert but IMO your area has plenty potential with lot's of troop movement from Atlanta all the way to Savannah.
With all the land you got to hunt and plenty history in the area , with a little work you should do well.
Good Luck.
p.s. I wish I lived closer to you ,I would love to hunt that area with you.
Davers
