Hello from deep in south Texas

New to the forum and still pretty new to MD.
Right now I’m in Mission, TX and usually from mid April to mid October we live in Candor, NY
I’m a member of the Rio Grande Valley Metal detecting club here in Texas but have not found a club in my area of upstate New York. I have hunted a few parks around my area in New York with a little success and a lot here in south Texas.
Anyone from Tioga/Broome area of New York know if a permit is need to hunt the park where they hold the Spedie Fest and Balloon Rally?
So if there is anyone from that area of NY that would like to do a little dirt fishing in the summer, hit me up. Always looking to get out there and dig something up.
