Hello from Canada eh.

Hey there guys,

I am from Nova Scotia, Canada and I am new to these forums and new to the whole metal detecting thang. I have wanted to get a detector for a long time now and finally broke down and bought one.

I purchased a Garrett at pro. I have only tried it in the backyard so far and have only found nails and lots of trash metal. Looks like my back yard is where old metal comes to die. But I am looking forward to hitting the beaches and also doing some gold nugget hunting.

Cant wait to find something more valuable than old beer cans!!

I used to live in Hardisty Alberta and completely loved the Canadian stay. I lived there for about 3 year working at a restaurant/hotel/bar (all in one), and also farmed on the weekends (summer fall wheat/ cattle). I loved it. Odd thing is, I found that most small towns in Canada have these hotel/bar/restaurant combination's all over. Never in the states though.
