Hello from Australia

Just popped by to say hello from sunny (stinking hot!!) Queensland, Australia. Not quite sure how I stumbled across this site, but very happy I did. My kind of treasure seeking has always been from markets, garage sales and op shops, but the idea of getting out there with a metal detector sounds very appealing. Any advice for a newbie? Looking forward to getting to know everyone

Welcome aboard....one of my internet detecting buddies Pete from OZ makes some great finds and believe he lives in your area also....Townsville if memory serves me correctly.

Some great finds to be had doing old mining camps, etc....in the outback.....just watch out for the snakes, etc...
