For the past 7 years I have been a rock hunter but bought most of my mineral collection online (I hate to admit that) and have recently been out in my local area doing some hunting and found some real beautiful agates that I will post pictures of by the end of this. I have mostly Lake Superior agates and have been trying to learn what metals they contain to give them different luster: pearly, metallic, etc.
I also have an interest in meteorites but am very well aware that trying to find them in Minnesota is very difficult due to the many lakes and vegetation but I found an interesting metallic rock from a local gravel pit that seems to fit the description but being a newbie on meteorites I can't say for sure (will post pictures and explanation as to why I think it is).
Other interests of mine are photography, doing artwork (Painting, drawing, designing jewelry pieces using agates and other natural stones, digital art), playing and hanging out with my 3 loving kitties. Doing research on precious and semi-precious stones, holistic health , nutrition and healing through what we eat.
I have a very curious and inquisitive mind that loves to investigate and learn all that I can. Below is a recent find of a Lake Superior Agate two sides taken
