We live in an old farmhouse, close to Chepstow, that dates to around the late 1500s. We recently found this buckle in the soil that came out from one of the living room floors. Would anyone have an idea of the age? We have found various artificers over the years and even Civil War era cannon balls have been found in the gardens.
Any input welcomed!
I think a metal detector purchase will be on the cards soon. Many thanks for reading.
