Hello everyone!!!! No, I don't have a metal detector.....I have a mental detector!!!

My bro-in-law has one though- Because I've been in "the finding, identifying, & appraising hobby, I am often asked to help with researching items. I love it. I have learned so much by researching. I must say , I'm not too bad in the "pining the tail on the donkey" game! I bring to you all one question. I have a dime size brass button which reads ARCHID. AVST. DUX BURG.TYR. 1780 X. This is a brass fronted button with a white metal back. The back is stamped with ( I think) a letter or symbol in the middle of a shield shape. I have searched and cannot identify the mark on the back and it driving me crazy. Originally this design was the back of a coin. Translates : Thaler Empress Maria Theresa, ruler Austria, Hungary & Bohemia from 1740-1780. I have found examples of this button, but none show the mark I have on this particular one. It is driving me crazy!!!! Here are 2 pics. I am interested in identifying the mark on the back. Thanks for any help!!!!
