Here is what I found this week. I have a vacation from work so I went digging a few times this week. This first bottle breaks my heart because I went with someone else and we split the bottles and this was my first pick. I got home before I realized there is a ding right under the N in NY. P. Hopefully someone out there will appreciate that. P.S. The utica dump is so deep we couldn't find the bottom. We used rope to get in and out of the pit which I estimate was about 17-18 deep!

Awesome finds !!

Those are some great finds. Looks like you have been busy. Is this a new site you are digging? Thanks for the photos

Thanks Bass, this is from a few different sites. Still not going to the one the police went to.. One is the Utica dump.

Looks promising. You have some nice keepers. I like the infant food jar, the Piso's and the Utica druggist. Sorry bout that blob but we can't win them all. There's no telling what you'll find in that Utica dump

Thanks Bass. That dump is what my digging partner and I call an"expert level" dump. It's very dangerous. I tied a rope off to a tree just to get into and out of our pit. We couldn't find the bottom due to water. What we really hoped for was some "Whites Utica" items but only found shards. My buddy got a nice Dr Kilmers Cough and Consumption Oil bottle, a Beaver oil, and an amber Bromo Pepsin cure for Headaches and Indigestion... We hit a nice layer but it wasn't without danger and lots of mosquitoes!

I don't know what the other guy picked first, but I would have taken that blob too, even with the ding. That eagle is the shiznit!

Thanks epackage, the eagle is REALLY big. It bumps way out of the bottle! We thought he was a chicken at first.

Thanks!

Wow, you kicked that door wide open............!!!!

In Laws are originally from Utica, straight off the boat Italians. Cool finds, all of them. Ding or not thats my pick too! Cool finds, but be careful out there. There is Danger in them thar pits! Thanks for the great pics. jgas

That ding would not bother me a bit, love the eagle bottle.

that's all good stuff , some I know are ferly common to the region , but the age is right and the condition looks good. the Chicago med is nice.

Nice haul! Be careful down there.

time to go back?...with bug repellent, a ladder and more tools? that hole would be calling my name REAL loud!

Lol unclemac... It probably got hit already, but yeah...it is!!

the Utica dump has been a dug for years, I remember being tolled about it in the early 1980s . Rome is a another one , I believe there Bothe are on the Mohawk river.
