Brand new to amateur rock hounding...is that a thing? lol

I have always been one to keep my eyes on the ground looking for whatever might sparkle or otherwise just catch my eye...and I've found a lot of trash and treasure that way. Living in Lexington KY now and lots of caves here to explore.

Nothing much to post yet...but I do travle a lot and will hopefully be able to contribue more as time goes by.

I do have an old rock/gem that I found a few years back in a Kalispell MT lake bed (it sits on my desk now lol) that I have never been able to identify if anyone knows?

Anyway...just glad to be here and thanks again!
