I have seen plenty of heel nuts and bolts and I have some of those. I have only seen a couple of spikes. There is a sawmill at one of our antique farm shows. They use spikes to drag the logs in. The short bar on the other end of the heel is used for prying the spike out, but they could have other uses also?
