Been sweeping an old 1800's hayfield last couple hunts. I dug up a neat heel plate (I think) with star.

Pisces triangle pendant, 1880 indian head penny, 1961 washington quarter, and a 59 rosey dime. The silvers were at another location a stones throw from my house. I KNOW for a FACT I have passed over the exact spot the quarter was. It was no more than 4 inches deep and gave a booming signal. Must be some truth to the freeze/thaw cycle and coins becoming detectable. 20170408_213345.jpg

Nice finds High! I found a few similar one's here on TN. I found a few similar one's here on TN.

Cool find! Here's one I found back in March: I've seen the heart shape before--as well as the clover cut-out...but the star was a new one to me...Since these have been found in CW camps before, some folks associate them a little too strongly with the CW. They were not issued to troops, but rather were a civilian item--even though some obviously went into battle on soldiers' boots. I love seeing these posted--thank you for putting this one on the forum. Regards, Buckleboy

Bumping this back up, Dug my first heelplate, stamped '11', too small for mens 11. &nbspoes anyone elses example have a size stamp, or star?  I am also wondering if the Lady of the night trail theory has any further documentation I could look at.  Thanks & Best digs.

Very nice find! Congrats [emoji106]

Nice heel plate! I have found two - both clover patterns. I would like to find the heart and the star pattern next.
