🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Heavy tooth found at lake pepin on mississippi.

I Found this at a campground on Lake Pepin on the Minnesota side. It weighs 42 grams and seems quite heavy but I don't know if it's a horse tooth or not.. anyone else have an idea?

Sure looks like a horse tooth...experts will weigh in.

Yes, the occlusal pattern is consistent with an equid molar, and there's no stylid running down the side of the tooth, which is also a diagnostic for equid vs bovid..

For an equid tooth, horse is most probable, but asses have similar teeth.

Ok. Awesome help. Can we determine it's age?

Minnesota is only 160 years old so it may be interesting to know
