Decking boards are 6" boards.
Found at a home built in 1800, found Ford model T parts and rail road depot was across the road from it, found 5 rail road spikes near it.
Any ideas?

The long one may be a soldering iron. Don't have a clue on the other one. Based on the rust, they are both steel/iron, IMHO. Sub 8-)

Hard to tell from here but, the one on the right,(the shorter one) looks a lot like a coupling pin, not for box cars etc, to small for that, but for tool carts coupled to a track car for maint. section crews, or say for baggage carts for off loading luggage etc. Still used on large track gangs today pulling small flat cars behind track equip. to carry material etc. Just a guess based on being across from an old RR Depot and the picture. The (handle?) looks as though it may have moved up & down? The pin is the right size and shape.

Interesting, it was a small gauge Rail Road, Danville & Atlantic. (or Norfork, I forget) They are both very heavy and appear to be solid. Tons of pieces of steel or Iron in the ground every broken size and shape. Thanks,
