Could be. They have no flat bottom. So maybe they would fit on some base?

weighted base, round bottom, allows it to rock and not tip over, dumping fuel

Hello.
I picked these up at an auction in a box lot.
They appear to be copper and are very heavy for their size at over 7 lbs each.
I just don't know what they are.
Thanks in advance for any insight someone might have.
Very old school road hazard lights.
they burn kerosene and are round to prevent them from tipping over if run over by a car, I remember those as a kid. They were painted black as I recall.

This is a great suggestion Alan, I've been involved with early lighting and the construction industry for 30+ years and I've never heard of these before. :icon_scratch:
Here are a couple of examples I found online. I'm also thinking your examples are probably made of brass as opposed to copper.

I learn something new here every day. :thumbsup:
