Looks like an adjustment twist grip for some kind of machine or device?. The drills I sell have an adjustment grip on them to run an air cylinder back and forth and we call it the corn cob twist grip. It also looks similar to the twist grips on older camera tripods to lock down the camera position, but those I think would be aluminum or plastic. I find nothing to couple that part number to anything that looks like that. Only a Honda engine comes up.

Dent puller weights are made so you don't lose your grip. Not like this thing. It has a small roll pin hole in one end is what I'm seeing. This thing would be a good screw driver grip.

I wonder if the hole in the side couldn't have been for a set screw and the item could have been some kind of light duty gear.

Definitely looks like a set screw but the numbers are quite raised so probably not a gear...

I've seen handles on old farm sprayers that look similar.
This photo shows a plastic handle, but you can get the idea.

Looks good but this thing is very heavy...I'm thinking that it must be heavy for a reason...

Just looking at the numbers again and I actually think that it is B2062...

Possiibly a slide hammer or nail puller handle? May be a little small though....

Some clues, possibly?
Does the hole go all the way through, or are there two separate holes?
The holes have different diameters? Hummm....? Why? Is something expanding under pressure?

If a single hole, is it uniformly tapered inside, or something else?
Are either of the holes threaded inside?
I wonder why the outside is fluted? Is this simply to save material, weight, or might it have something to do with its intended function?
Maybe just something to grip as you tighten it?

Without more to go on, I'm thinking this is just an extention bar (piece) for one of those industrial-looking "one-size-fits-all" mobile equipment mounting rigs.
For example, the kind you might have used to install a police radio in a car (maybe back in the 60's and early 70's)?
The laptop mounts they use today are a lot nicer, and look nothing like this. FYI.

Having a hole larger on one side than the other gives me the idea that a rope would be tied in a knot and then pulled through leaving this is a weighted handle on a rope. Maybe for something like a ringing a farm Bell or something
