heat vent silver

I went to reopen a heat vent at home and heard something fall into the duct.
so I pulled the cover and fished out the quarter, then fished out a 925 Italy necklace.
only the clasp is plated, I like this house more every day!

Heater vents can be productive. I work at a low income housing project and we always check the vents when we turn the units

I have not checked any more yet, I had to pre bowl for league as I have to work league night.
the house shows on the 1873 map....but all duct work was replaced in 98. Still I plan to check more later tonight.

Those are great silver finds. I remember as a young boy my brother and I would drop aluminum game pieces or tokens down our vents just to listen to them roll down. Glad none of them were of value, (I hope) !!
