headphones??

Any stereo headphones with ¼” plug will work. You can even use headphones with 1/8” plug and use a 1/4 to 1/8 adapter (available at Radio Shack, etc.). Many users prefer headphones with volume control(s). They set the detector volume at max and adjust the volume on the headphones. Some users prefer noise cancellation headphones. Those fully cover the ears and eliminate most ambient noise around you. Great for hunting in noisy areas and to help you listen for faint signals but use caution especially hunting where rattlesnakes and other critters may lurk. Ideally you should try headphones first if possible. Also, the headphone should be comfortable enough to where you forget you have them on.

Headphones are a great investment! I've used cheap and expensive wired headphones and would not go back to cheap. Last year I purchased a set of wireless headphones and now would not go back to wired. The wire from the headphones to the detector get in the way, hang up on brush, trees and anything else that will grab a wire. The wireless set is a TDK WR700 that I purchased fron newegg.com. Before you purchase from them check to see if they are offering a lower price via a 'coupon'. I found them to be an honest and reasonable company to deal with, they even gave me the coupon price on the headphones after the coupon had expired............63bkpkr
