Primary Interest:
Prospecting
Tides, days off, and weather have finally aligned so I get to give the new beach box I built a workout. I hope to be able to at least double the take that my cube would get since it's twice the mat size. Now I have to stockpile 2 truck loads before setup :whip2:

Will report when I get back and the Super cons are cleaned up.

Sweet! Post some pics for us land locked shovel masters :)

Hit the beach at 10am and found the winter storms had washed out most of my favorite deposit areas but found enough to feed the sluice mostly black sand for 5 straight hrs. I forgot how small the gold is and what a HUGE PITA it is to clean up. I did a few spoonfulls and it looks like about half of my previous takes from the same area on other trips. Once I'm done running it on the miller table in a couple days, I'll put up a picture of the total.

However the weather was great and I managed my 1st sun burn of the year. Definitely no better way to spend a day at the beach.

Nice Job Mike!! Most of that recoverable beach gold is -100 to -200, right?

Yeah really small to invisible to the eye size....

Nice sure is pretty looking "dust" I'm exited just got my permit in the mail today now I just need to devise a recirc system to test out on the heavy black sands found on the beaches here
