Last week I talked to the head teller (who is always friendly) of a dump bank that I use occasionally for loose rolls (up to 15-20 rolls at the most)

I told her business was picking up and wondered if she could start ordering boxes of halves for me as I needed all I could get. She will let me know tonight. But in the mean time she called me and said one of their branches had 36 rolls and would I like them ;D I said sure and she is having them transferred to her branch. (no charge)

A few months ago I did drop off some rolls at other branches, I wonder if I am getting my own, marked & searched halves back. :(

If they are, I will still take them and not let on where they came from. ;)

Hopefully they aren't you rejects...good luck and keep us posted.

That's another benefit of having coin counting machines at my dump banks. I always return loose halves and they get sent to the Fed. The odds of flooding the Fed with my rejects, and all others actually, and getting them back is pretty slim; at least for now.

Case in point, I'm still finding keepers; even with all the Fed boxes I go through each month.

Good luck with these rolls.

7-10-07 UPDATE
Went to the branch last night and the main branch had shipped SAC $$$ >:( She knew I would not take them but asked anyway.

She called the main branch who said they have 26 rolls of halves and 10 rolls of "BIG $$$" do I still want them? So supposedly they will come in today. I will not hold my breath.

She still has not found out if I can order bulk halves. She thinks if it is possible they can only do it for me once a month and it will be a $1000 bag. She says they have no place to store it and she knows I do not want to pay a fee.

7-10 UPDATE

Well the coins fineally came in. The main bank branch must of forgotten because a lady from the branch drove the coins in her car. This is a very friendly bank.

There was $260 in halves and $100 in IKES As I was signing for the coins one of the tellers said "you have silver in there" I said oh really, thats nice. ;D
Guess which pile was silver?

Wow North OC is close to me, I'm going to start poaching your banks ;D

JK Really nice finds!!!!!!

Most excellent Dan!! Kudos.

You done good! Go ahead and get the $1000 month from there and find another source for more. Maybe you can get away with having a friend say they want $1000 also and you get them all. If the bags are that good, I'd give it a try. I don't see what their problem is in the first place.
PS.....Stay in Southern California.. ;D

They are a small credit union with a small safe. And this costs them money to order and transfer. She has no room for a bag and she figuered that the most they could do is one a month at no charge.

I will take that. I think the bag I got yesterday was from their coin counter. I am pretty sure their main branch has one hidden in the back. I am going to ask to be the only one to buy those bags. The city that the main branch is located in has an older population.

All the silver looked like it was just saved, never in a collection. Maybe I should also ask about buying dimes and quarters from that counter.
