Hawthorne California Police Kill Dog, and Arrest Dog’s Owner For Filming Police (Warning, Shocking Content)

Cold, emotionless, and unforgiving police in Hawthorne, CA, shot the dog of a peaceful man who was filming the police, one out of many people filming who happened to be nearest to the police. Not only that, but for trying to hold the police accountable, he was arrested after his dog was slaughtered.

Caught on a disturbing video- a Hawthorne police officer shot a not so violent looking dog in front of several people filming the police, as they raided a house in a gang of officers, with several police cars nearby. The man nearest to the police filming, the man who had his dog slaughtered in cold blood, was apparently the one who irritated the officers most, because at least 3 other people were filming too.

As a consequence of this man’s righteous action of filming the police to hold them accountable, he was selectively picked out and arrested. As he was being detained, after placing his dog in his car for the dog’s own protection, he unexpectedly jumped out of the car, and began barking at the officers. The dog really, honestly was not very threatening, and the officer could have solved the problem much more peacefully than shooting the poor dog point blank in front of a neighborhood of witnesses. But what did the officer care?

For fun perhaps, he shot the dog several times, and it was a sad scene, as the animal lay on the pavement, twitching while the bystanders gasped in horror. The video is below this article. I strongly suggest the viewers of this article make this a widely publicized event, a viral outrage that spreads like wildfire, meant to hold the police accountable and utilize our technology in this new era that we can make corruption free.

Share this article if you will, or spread the word some other means. The police are constitutionally, legally, not allowed to do this, or anything for that matter, except keep the peace. Police murdering dogs is an epidemic, characteristic of the police state we live in. It is our duty and well within our abilities, to change it.

in a police state, the police do what ever they will...
legally.

the only polite thing I can say...I once watched two cops beat a man stupid..he was knelling as directed, hands behind his head...I watched them beat him with fists an baton boots, across the yard...him curled in the fetal position...
I reported the incident..was immediately arrested an held in jail, no food, no water, no phone call, striped naked in the padded cell, until interviewed by a detective 25 hours,
...what did you see? nothing ...let go within the hour, no charges...
avoid flagstaff police like the plague.

I like dogs, but that dog lunged toward the officers. The dog just didn't understand what was happening. It is sad, no doubt. What would have been best, is if the officers would have had more training with their tazers. That is what should have been used.

I would Normally take the side against the Police.

And they appeared to have no reason to arrest the man.

However I did see reason to Shoot the dog, It did Jump at them.
Perhaps of course the case can be made, if they were doing their job instead of harassing him,
the dog would have stayed Calm.

You forgot to mention that this was an armed robbery call, the man with the dog was told to turn his car stereo off so the police could hear what was going on with their fellow officers at the house (that's his music playing in the video) instead of turning off the car stereo he decided to start filming the scene.

… [Police spokesperson Scott] Swain said Rosby stopped in the intersection with music blaring from his windows. Officers told him to turn down the music because they were trying to hear what was happening down the street. Rosby pulled forward, parked and got out with his dog, but left the music still playing loudly.

“It’s distracting the officers,” Swain said. “It’s interfering with what they are able to hear. It’s not just a party call. It’s an armed robbery call. The officers need to hear what’s going on with the people being called out of the residence. That music in his car is bleeding over and it’s distracting them.”…

… Rosby, who pulled out his own cellphone to record the police activity, did not lower the volume.

“I do apologize if I didn’t immediately comply. The music may have been a little loud but I was complying,” Rosby said. “I said, ‘Sir, I want to make sure nobody’s civil rights were being violated.’ “…

… Once police arrested the suspected robber, officers motioned to Rosby and began walking toward him. Swain said they intended to arrest him and told him to put the dog in his car. He complied.

The video shows him putting the dog in the car, but leaving the windows open. Rosby said he walked toward officers, turned and put his hands behind his back, and waited for them to arrest him. The video shows the dog barking as officers took him into custody.

Suddenly, the 130-pound, 3-year-old dog jumped out of the car and ran at them.
