I see this is your 2nd-ever post at TreasureNet... so let me start by saying "Welcome to T-Net's What-Is-It? forum, the best place on the internet to get unknown objects CORRECTLY identified." (Never trust what Ebay sellers say, or even Worthpoint.)

The finds you asked about in this discussion-thread are definitely fragments of a 20th-Century artillery shell's copper sabot, also called the "driving band." (Sorry, there's no way to tell with certainty whether they are WW1-era, WW2-era, or later.) See the photo below.

The sabot fragments on that beach add weight to SmokeyTheCat's ID of the brass discs you found being part of a 20th-Century artillery shell's time-fuze.
