Hi Terry, Thanks..
Well if it where campfire crud it had to have been a very large campfire...found along the topside of my mountain. Along with these where what I believe to be obsidian, thick slabs of natural glass and some very interesting rocks. These pieces are not like anything I've seen before? But who knows you could be right, that's why I'm asking, Thank You

Welcome Vintage... I agree with Mr. Soloman. people tend to burn garbage like cans and bottles instead of packing them out. It is not uncommon to find locations where the same people hunted or camped at the same location for years or decades , so the remains could be immense. If so , just remember that there is a latrine somewhere... lol. Happy Hunting.

I am not saying they aren't some type of deposit, but everything looks like it has been exposed to heat or fire, there aren't any crystal structures that I can see in the picture, have any forest fires came through the area? that could have caused that effect?

There is a possibility that there was a major fire here. My cousin Jack had come up to check things out and thought there had to have been a major fire to have produced the large concentration of birch on my land, stating they would only be like they are because of fire. Something that took place many years ago.

Hi Ol' Silver, Thank You.

I had looked into the possibility of an old glass factory and haven't found any records of one. What has really thrown me is the presence of mineral deposits in the glass itself. I've had trouble uploading images, I wanted to show more individual pieces as to get a better idea of what I have here. I did get a couple to an album on my page. If you have a moment I'd so appreciate your opinion. I will try again here too. Thanks again these stinkers have had me scratching my head for a while now...lol.
