Found something you just knew was something special and then found out that it was worthless junk ? The other day i went to an old colonial site with a friend.About 5 minutes after we got there i found a small button.I took a quick look see and saw that it had some sort of design on it.It was covered in sandy soil so i dropped it in my bottle of water and continued to hunt.Later while going through my "Treasure's" i came across the button,my eyesite isn't the greatest so i handed it to my buddy.He looked at it and says " wow nice button,it says something on it" so he gently washed the dirt off and says "cool it says "Hart" and something else.Then he cleaned off some more dirt and snickered and said "carhart". 
Earlier this summer i gained permission to hunt a site were a church dating back to 1812 had stood.The church had burned last year so there was alot of melted metal.The owners had asked me to be on the lookout for a small bronze statue so i was digging most everything.I found a small silver cup and a flat square thing that i thought could be silver.My buddy was over one day and i was showing him what i had.He took one look at the square flat thing and says "wadayadoin with this melted floppy disc ?" For the life of me i couldn't figger it out even though i had it lieing right next to a floppy that i was using to take pictures of it !
