There a huge dirt piles and leveled grounds at a school that was built in 1900 being torn down that I have access too. I was just wanting some opinions on where I should hunt and the best way to go about doing it. I'm sure there is TRASH everywhere within the piles but I read on here all the time this is where you have the best luck. I'm going tonight SO PLEASE LET ME KNOW, and yes my camera is fixed so I will post up pics....
Thanks

Hey bud, as I can't see the site, I'd try to find the front doorstep area and any areas where playgrounds might have been. Look for real old trees, areas where kids and teachers would have gathered outside, like picnic or lunch areas, old parkin lot etc.
If all else fails, start at one corner and go back and fourth across the whole property slowly as long as you can. It probably will take more than one trip.

Good luck and can't wait to see the pics...

Rudy pretty much hit it all. If there any ball field areas torn up, thats a great place as well.

if there was a chain link fence someplace that they took out .. try where it was... if anyone else had detected there they might have not been able to hit the fence area... I have had great luck using that method

If you don't know the layout of the school, I'd start at one area and work my way out. You will hit pockets or places where there are lots of finds.

Early 1900's ...there woulda been an outhouse out back somewhere. The path between the building and the crapper ought to have stuff where kids tried to hurry and get their pants down (thus dropping things from the pockets).

Good luck!

What part of the country are you in? We have a similar situation happening here in Texas...
