I have been told by my hubby that the Ford items is a tractor center hood ornament, and some one else said a hubcap.
The other item I found about 8 inches down at a place that dates back to the 1800's. I have it in electrolosis now. Coffee or corn grinder?

I would tend to agree with your hubby about the ford item since it has mounting holes from what I can tell in the pic. A hubcap wouldn't need mounting holes.

The Ford object is way too small to be a hub cap. I was thinking the center of a steering wheel?

1934-1939 Ford 1 1/2 ton truck rear wheel hub cap.

The 34-39 1.5 ton rear hub caps should measure 5 3/4” in diameter. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1584247749.690014.jpg

You're thinking "wheel cover". They are much bigger than the hubcaps used in the 1930's and earlier. Even though the terms were used interchangeably from the 40's onward, there is a distinction.

Good ID.
