Hate to rain on your parade but it looks a lot like river gravel it is smooth from the water and the hunks I pick up around here are heavy, I don't see any fresh breaks from your picture

this is a stone knife made from the same stuff you can see the cortex (weathered exterior) and the difference from the lighter fresh insides

sorry really struggling with the site and slow internet I guess.

that second pink knife is the same material just exposed to heat, and here is a rock I picked up again same stuff could be a hammer stone based on shape and size and a rough-ish bottom but could just be a rock there isn't really a great way to tell beyond obvious edge wear
