hat insignia

Today i found a sterling hat insignia that I'm trying to ID. Sorry, no pics, but it has silver wings with a propeller in the middle. Would anyone know of a website that i could go to for help. I'm assuming that it's air force, no idea how old.

Is there a maker's mark on the back? Sometimes that can help establish a date range.
