Has anyone had any problems ordering a Bazooka Gold Trap, I ordered a Mini on 03/09/13 and they keep putting off the ship date. I was hoping to get notification today but it didn't happen. I'm betting that when I get it the weather will clear and warm, Irish luck and all that stuff, needless to say I don't have it and it's still raining...... Gramps

Patience. I ordered my supermini the last week in Jan 2013 and received the unit the last week of Feb. However they did not cash my check until the unit shipped. Which i thought was fair. Well worth the wait. Promise.

If you go to the web site they say they are a grass roots company. Not like Amazon. I waited three weeks to get my super prospector,

Like you say they are grass roots and with you guys having the same out come then I'm not as worried as if I was the only one it had happened to..........Gramps

I don't think anyone has ever received their Bazooka on time. You'll get a quality, hand made/assembled work of art.
I picked up my Miner and Mini directly from Todd and his father. Great people. Works / lives near a river in gold bearing country; must be nice : )

Hang in there, it will come....

Joel: that stream through his property is part of south fork american river! Pretty awesome

Wow, didn't know that was part of the SFAR! Great place for product development : )
Todd's dad actually gave me and my son a short tour of the area of where the mining camps were located, tailing piles, etc,.
I would kill to live / work on that property!

No onw was there when I went to pick up mine... on the tour, did he mention any info on that stream? Looks pretty awesome

Actually no info on the stream, it was raging back in December though.
Walked us around and showed us elevated land which were actually tailing piles, area over grown with trees and shrubs but building foundations can still be seen. It was cool! Even gave us some history on the workers and how much they were paid. He must have been bored and had time to kill. Or he was trying to stall while Todd finished building my Miner and Mini : )
All in all, it was a great trip. Topped off the day with a trip to Placerville Harware where they actually had a Super Prospector in stock for $250.

All these stories remind me what a great deal I got...$100 on Craig's,list for my prospector :-D

Good evening,

I've talked a little with the Bazooka Gold Guys (Todd). They're a good company, I wouldn't worry too much about it, it's just now folks are getting their equipment ordered up for the season and all us manufacturers are busy this time of year. I'm on about a 10 day delay now with my shop orders too, it's just the spring rush so to speak. It seems about late February-April folks get Christmas paid off and they start getting ready to prospect and order up all their goodies.

Thanks, Chris

Well guys after 3.5 weeks of no shipping notification I had had enough, I E-mailed Todd and cancelled the order and ask him to refund to my PayPal account and I haven't heard a word from him and no money in my acct.. To say I'm a bit miffed is putting it mildly. Right after I cancelled he E-mailed and asked why and I told him I realized that my truck needed a rear bumper, which it does, more than I needed another sluice. That's the last I've heardl

Good luck with that. I like the product, but my expierence and everyrhing I found on the net are not complimentary to the man.

Well just realize folks get busy, things happen, etc. I personally had to talk with some folks I'm building some equipment for since I had a delay in fabrication. My doctor changed my pain meds for my back and I got really sick, (bad allergy) like in the ER and 2 days in the hospital sick. Then I got home from that mess and was going to finish some stuff off for my customer and Yuma had 65 mph wind gusts and guess what? NO power at my shop for that afternoon until the next morning. So I personally lost 3 days fab time due to personal life nonsense and the weather gods not looking upon me favorably.
Now I have NO idea what is up with your product from the Bazooka Company Gramps43, but I figured I'd just relay what happened to me this week alone. Sometimes manufacturers have the best intentions and life throws that curve ball you're not ready for. I hope it works out for the best and I'd give it a day or so before I got too worried. Please keep folks updated on how it turns out, we need to keep the information sharing moving along and hopefully it was just an oversight that will be remedied quickly.

Have a great week all,
Chris

that reminds me of the guy that made/sold the Poorboy dredge from S.Caroilina. he had a nice little dredge at a fair price and had lots of orders comeing in only to get put on hold from the parts he had to back order for his dredge and then the ole story of hireing your family/friends to help make this dredge only to get screwed over by his family and the back orders killed his sales! the several customers got pzzed because the backorders went reaaaaaaaalllllly long and they wanted to cancell their order after he got them parially built, and he didnt answer any of his calls. he went broke and finnaly the police were involved and he gave up the business only to have another guy take it over and promise to make good on those orders and then he got in over his head aswell! long story short! be patienent! let him get caught up!

If you can afford it and are patient, the BGT really is great stuff!

After reading all these stories my 2 week wait doesnt seem that bad.....

Gramps to bad. Patience would have been the better choice. But understand money is tight in today economy. Bumper or Bazooka? As far as Todd business I can not comment, I do not know him but the season is upon us across the States and would believe the order board is packed. I order in late winter and it took 3 or 4 weeks. All I can say is the Bazooka is the cats meow when it comes to a sluice. Good luck with your bumper.
