Has anyone switched from the Xterra 705 or MXT to the T2?

I have both and prefer the t2. It's not that I don't like the 705 it's that the T2 is faster, deeper and swings like a feather. If you buy the t2 it comes with the stock coil and the 5 inch. Coils for the 705 are very pricey especially the 6 inch low frequently dd. In heavy iron run the t2 in 2 tone 0 disc and sense as high as you can. Coin hunting in parks 3 tone. The t2 doesn't retain settings but can be setup before the 705 auto ground balance and noise cancels. That's my take on the 2 others opinions will surely vary. The difference between the Ltd and standard are boost and cache mode haven't tries the new one, maybe if my Ltd dies.

I know it is not a fair comparison, but I noticed, compared to my X-Terra 505, my Tek Omega is deeper, faster & lighter as well. I am finding deeper coins with my Omega/NEL Sharpshooter combo running sensitivity at 65 (out of 99) than I did with my X-Terra using the 10.5" DD at MAX sensitivity, plus I can swing it all day easily. The audio is much better in my opinion also. The X-Terra's are great machines, but I am very impressed with Teknetics so far.

Have no experience with the XTerra, i can tell you my Gamma (same powercuircuit as the Omega) will find coins 10" down all day loud and clear in my soil with the 8" concentric.

Thanks for the replies guys. I think I will be getting a Teknetics that's best suited for gold jewelry, once I figure out which that is. The G2 at 19kh is most likely on par with the 705 gold. I like the 705 I'm just not impressed with Its accuracy at depth. Hey Dirt, kelleyCo is calling the Special addition the Ltd if I'm reading it correctly. Are they 1 in the same? Also, how far down can you hit a nickel and have a good idea it's a nickel?

Mine is a Ltd and it is 2 years old. I bet new one are the enhanced and are still being called the ltd. A friend i hunt with a lot uses the gold bug pro which is the same as the old g2 and is a great detector also. If you get used to the t2 nickels are easy. What I've noticed the depper ones will flash 48 and then slightly lower numbers and tabs will go 48 and then slightly higher numbers.
