Very nice, and definitely not junk! It's typical Peruvian vintage silver and yes the (probably Inca-inspired) inlaid figure is likely to be 18K gold. That may be a maker's mark below the silver indication but I can't make it out from the picture... save to say it doesn't appear to be one of the big commercial makers. I would say you're probably looking at a value between $100-150

Thankyou so much:) I'm not looking at selling and will definitely pass it down to the next generation. However, I will be taking it to my local jeweller for appraisal. Will be interesting what they come up with! It will then go into the safe;)
Was just a lovely surprise as I hadn't given it any notice until today! I honestly thought it to be a cheap tacky granny brooch lol
