Has anyone ever seen this design or is able to Identify this piece ? It was silver plated and quite heavey for its size and thick. It is well made. It has a small tab on the back possibly a suspender fastener ? It came from a 1795 homestead yard. Need the experts. Thanks for your input Grizzly from PA

It is a shoe button cover. Daroofa has it right. Early 1900's.

nhbenz Thank you. I've never heard of a shoe button cover. I just cant picture how it worked or its purpose ? But it sure does look like it though, thats cool. I believe thats a winner.

It is a shoe button cover. Daroofa has it right. Early 1900's.
