It's definately more rough tonight then last night. Keep in mind the wind has been blowing for several days now, not as hard, but still 10-15+ from the NE. I am in Ocean City and haven't seen the Delaware sand (just the bethany boardwalk cam.... water upto and on the new dunes) Tonight in OC the water easily came up to dunes, some rode up the crosswalks. Most waves were around 8-10 feet with some monstorous 15' sets rolling in. It was pretty awesome to watch and hear them roll in tonight as the sun was setting and sky getting darker.

Checked coin beach today not much of a change no cuts

I had a customer tell me he saw the waves crashing into the dunes while he was crossing the bridge around 1PM this afternoon. I think hi tide was around 5 or 6, the radio reported something about watching for water on the road near the inlet around this time. I'd imagine that part of the beach (near the old dune crossing) is getting breached.

The wind has definetly increased today after 4 or 5PM, TWC reports 33MPH and gusts over 40 right now for Fenwick.

I am "suppossed" to judge a surf fishing tourney Sat and Sun........ I bet DNR will close the beach Sat and Sunday it should calm down. I plan to hunt whenever not judging..... just glad I can "patrol" and scope out the stretch of beaches from my truck during the tourney. That is if it doesn't get cancelled Sunday.

My guess is there should be some errosion after these last two high tides. Now, will they stop us from entering the beach is the next problem.

Yesterday we hit O.C. and a couple DE beaches without much luck. Just a handfull of clad and a couple crappy plated rings. What I did notice is the wind was blowing off the loose sand down to a crust where I was actually able to eyeball a couple coins. I'm sure that when the tide moved up that crust was disolved. Cuts in the sand did seem to be developing.

oh well this storm really blew literally and sarcastically all I found is $6.00 in clad and a toe ring oh well I'll just have to hunt some more fields and wait for a hurricane

L_Bo, the surf tournament was cancelled you'll have more time to hunt ;)
