The title says it all. Is it even possible to purchase these metals?

I have heard that TV cathode ray tubes use rare earth to coat the inside of the tube. Don't know if true or even if the same rare earth metals. You could recycle but probably pretty dangerious. Sure are a lot of old TVs and monitors around.
